  • Internet Crime
  • Firearms Safety
  • Police Duties
  • K-9 demonstrations
  • Identity Theft- we have a video that is available to the public on this important topic. Please contact the Dept. for information.
  • self-defense
(The above list is by no means complete. If you do not see a topic that you are interested in, contact the department for more information.)

Child Finger Printing:
Our Department understands the need to quickly enter missing person data into the State computer in the event a child becomes missing or abducted. We therefore make every attempt to finger print children of our community and to provide the parent with a lasting record of vital information that can aid in the quick reporting of a missing child. The police department will finger print children upon a request from the community and also attends different functions throughout the year to provide this valuable service. If you would like to have your child finger printed, you can bring your child to the DeMotte Police Department and we will gladly finger print your child and give you a record card to record your childs information. The DeMotte Police Department does not maintain a finger print record for printed children. The Finger Prints and data record remain in the possessio of the parent until a child becomes missing. It is important that you contact your local police Department immediately in the event you your child or someone elses becomes missing or abducted.
