ORDINANCE 101501-2 (An ordinance concerning the damage caused by using
extreme sports equipment)
Over the past and previous summers, The DeMotte Police Department
has been plagued by complaints of damage caused to private
property by the use of extreme sports equipment (i.e.
skateboards, roller skates, Freestyle Bicycles, etc.). In
response to complaints by local business owners, Churches and the
DeMotte Library, the linked ordinance has been enacted by the
DeMotte Town Council in an effort to curb the damage.
The Noise Ordinance for the town of DeMotte was recently updated in response to an increase in noise complaints effecting the peace and tranquility of the neighborhoods. The newly updated ordinance was written to give officers of the DeMotte Police Department more enforcement options and descretion. Click on the above link to view a copy of the new ordinance.
